Surah Al-'Anfal

Surah Al-Anfal (Arabic: الأنفال, al-Anfal, "spoils of war") are chapters of the 8th on the Koran. This Surah consists of 75 verses and sura-sura belonged Madaniyah. This Surah is called Al-Anfal, which means spoils of war Logo Al-Anfal said there were at the beginning of this sura and also a prominent issue in this sura is on the spoils of war, the laws of war and matters relating to warfare in general. According to Ibn Abbas narrated, the sura was revealed regarding the battle of Badr which occurred in year 2 H. This battle is very important, because it is an event that determines the way the history of Islamic development. At that time Muslims with a small magnitude for the first time to defeat the pagan large amounts and have adequate equipment, and they are in this war get the spoils of war is not small. Thus arises the problem of how to divide the spoils of war treasures, then later Allah revealed the first verses of this sura.

Principles of contents
1. Faith: God is always with those who believe and protect them; determine the laws of religion is for Allah only; guarantee the victory of God against the believers, 'Inayat Allah against those who bertawakkal; only Allah who can unite the hearts of the believe, the actions and God's laws are based upon the interests of mankind; the angels who helped ranks of the Muslims in the battle of Badr, the devil nuisances on the believers and their guile to idolaters; Shirk is a sin weight.
2. The Laws: Rules of the division of spoils of war; permissibility take the spoils of war; ban flee / retreat in battle; law concerning prisoners of war at the beginning of Islam, its obligation to obey the leadership in the war; must seek peace; obligation to prepare themselves with all the equipment of war ; mental endurance, patience and resignation and remembrance of Allah in battle; the purpose of war in Islam; prohibition of perfidy in Allah and the messenger and the message; ban treaty betrayal.
3. The stories: The reluctance of some Muslims joined the battle of Badr, the atmosphere of the Muslims at Badr war time, before, after and during the war lasts; state of the Prophet before the hijra and the hostility of the league against him; Jews cancel a peace treaty with the Prophet Muhammad ; the story of the state of the heathen idolaters and ugliness of the Book and the hypocrites.
