Surah Al-Fil

Surah Al-Fil are chapters to-105 in the Qur'an and consists of 5 verses. It belongs to the sura surah Makkiyah. The name means Elephant Al verb itself is taken from the first paragraph of this letter.

Topics of this letter is the story of the destruction of the Kaaba by the failure of efforts Abraha (king of Yemen) and 60,000 troops, the soldiers including 13 elephant (or 9 in other versions). Year of occurrence of this event is also recorded in Islamic history as the Year of the Elephant.
