English Exam Drill Pack 1 - Perfect Your Grammar

>> Saturday, February 12, 2011

How can you perfect your grammar? Practice. Lots and lots of it. It is best to practice with a person who is already fluent with the language. Speak with him or her and share stories. Along the way you will find your English slowly but surely improving. To build up your vocabulary, try to read more English books. You will learn new words every time you open up a book, and you can use these new words every time you speak or write in the English language. Writing needs the most practice of all. Have someone who knows the language look at it or run it through an English writing check program.

While a tutor who is knowledgeable in English is a better teacher than an English writing check program, it doesn't hurt to at least try using one. Such a program could do much to help improve your grammar and enhance how you write in English. How can it help? The program's easy to use interface lets you check your written work for any grammatical error. Just highlight the text you want to check and press F2. Grammatical errors will be highlighted in red, spelling errors in green, while the program will highlight areas which it thinks can be further improved in blue. This English writing check program does not just tell you what is wrong, it also tells you why it is wrong, making every mistake something of learning experience for the user.
This is not a simple English writing check program; it can help you learn more about the language. A feature of the program takes what you have written, analyzes it, and then presents you with a score detailing how well you did. It also gives a few tips and suggestions that will help you further improve your English. Just don't depend too much on it. A friend or an English tutor may be able to more effectively teach you the rules and nuances of the language.
